100 New Jobs Created

DRUMMONDVILLE, February 24, 2016 – A new restaurant in the Saveurs des Continents chain will be built this year in Drummondville on Robert-Bernard Street opposite the Jean-Lesage Highway. As of December, this new addition will be able to host 700 people in a large, spectacular setting where customers can order more than 150 international delicacies prepared before their eyes – and at unbeatable prices!

“We are proud to be opening a new restaurant in Drummondville. This will be our seventh, and it will be one of the most spectacular in the whole chain. Drummondville is recognized for its social vitality and economic dynamism, and we take pride in becoming part of the city’s community,” explained Jean Maurice Duddin, the spokesperson for the Saveurs des Continents restaurants, as he announced the chain’s new investment in the presence of the Mayor and President of the Drummondville Economic Development Corporation (DEDC), Alexandre Cusson.

The investment includes the construction of the family restaurant, which will seat 700 and occupy an area of 22,000 sq. ft., as well as the development of 11,0000 sq. ft. of adjacent commercial spaces that will be available for rent.

“Our restaurants are as spectacular as they are popular. All of them are quite large and are decorated with tourist icons from around the world. We owe our popularity not only to the quality, freshness and variety of the food we serve, but also to the fact that our chefs prepare international delicacies right before your eyes. We offer something of exceptional value – and at unbeatable prices,” Mr. Duddin pointed out.

As it does at all of its locations, the chain will continue its social involvement with volunteers and community organizations through partnerships with charitable foundations and food distribution agencies. Construction work will begin as soon as outside temperatures allow, and the restaurant should be welcoming its first customers by December of this year.
